-Editing them both together-

This is me in the process of me editing my first draft of music video. I tried to do at least something as the footage was not that good as the filming did not go well as the weather was really bad. I looked through some the footage and put some together but i decided that i cannot use it as the shots are way too long as i didnt have a range of shots to cut to. Also my artist looks extremely uncomfortable.

I managed to put something together but i ultimately decided to redo it and not have outside but in my school drama room. 

This is the start of my editing the new footage that i got in my schools drama studio. This was so much better as my artist was much more comfortable and it looks like something that i can work with. i also had more shots that i could cut to. 

-Recce-

These are some of the footage of my filming. I took a picture of one of my artists going into my house. The second picture is of me filming both my actors as they are hanging out with each other. The last picture is of the set of where my artist was filmed.  

-Actors Footage-

This was my second filming day of my two actors in the scene where they are developing their relationship hanging out and spending time with each other.







This was my third day of filming where the boy has seen the girl for the first time and gets her number. This is normally the start of every relationship.

This is where they are in a relationship and they are playing basketball together near the end of my music video.

-Artist Footage-

On the weekend, me and my artist filmed. I thought that because my genre is RnB i decided to film her against a brick wall so she can walk down and sing. conventional locations are extravagant but i chose to go against the convention and kept it quite simple. However it it urban which is in rnb music videos as well.












As it was cold, my artist was struggling to say the words and act properly. I have decided to go to my school's drama studio and film my artists scenes there as it is more sensible.

-First attemp to film-

This was my first attempt to film my music video. It didn't go well as it got dark really quick around 2:45pm. This is part of my music video where the girl actor is going in her house. There were more shots to be done that day but i thought that there would be no point to do it as it wouldn't look good dark as it would light.

-Change of Plan-

Me and my teacher was talking about my narrative. I came up with three different stories in different age stages, little kids, teenagers and grown ups. I wanted to show the different relationships they have but in their generation.

One story would be of little kids (a boy and girl) getting close in the sense that they have crushes on each other.
The other story will be showing the journey of teenagers getting into a relationship.
And the third story will be of grown ups already in a relationship, showing their lives.

However I realised that my idea was not practical because it would take a long time to film it. I would have had to have three different types of footage. This was unrealistic as the music video song is only over three minutes and to show the mini story wont be effective in showing what I want to show especially when I have an artist that needs to be shown as well.

After close consideration I have decided to stick to one couple to show their journey to a relationship.
I decided to have teenagers show the progression of their building relationship into a more romantic/emotional one.

-Feedback from Teacher-

My teacher gave me some feedback of what i have on my blog at the moment. I will take her advise and comments on board so that my blog can be better. I have gone back to add more content to my blogs and i have to say why i changed my original idea.
